Series 3 TiVo at Circuit City, available in October

Someone in the comments (from Circuit City) said the Series 3 boxes are just hitting warehouses this week, while Dave Zatz showed a screenshot from Circuit City's site.

I continued poking around the Circuit City site and found their shopping catalog has a page with the Series 3 marked with "Available in October". Screenshot:

Hopefully they'll be a bit early so I can enjoy the new fall shows on it, but October as a fallback works too.

so the tivocommunity.com forums are convinced that best buy gets a two week exclusive to the S3, which would explain why Circuit City has to wait until october. And someone at HDBeat got BB to take a pre-order, with delivery on 9/17.

Thanks for the tip Ryan.

I called my local BestBuy, gave them the SKU, and they said it'd be a week or two before they got one, and from the looks of it they were only going to get 2 in stock during the first wave of orders.

Perhaps you know this already, but the TiVo website has them for sale as well:

Be aware that if you want to transfer a lifetime subscription, you'll need to purchase your series 3 direct from Tivo.

(hopefully this link works for everyone)
