Cox is asking a lot of questions about TiVo...

Michael sent a link to the TiVo Community where a member talks about a customer survey mentioning TiVo-powered Cox units may be coming soon. It's likely just customer research, but it would be cool to see TiVo-powered units coming out for cable companies.

I really enjoyed reading your advice for those who are considering advertising on their blogs. I'm not looking to get rich quick, but hey, who wouldn't take a dollar here or there for doing what they love and writing?

Currently, I have a blog that has become extremely popular on a site that doesn't allow personal advertising. I have noticed many hits on topics I've covered that may have products tied to them. I was considering starting a new blog elsewhere that allows advertising. It looks like I have three options: start a blog on a personal website (GoDaddy.com offers a blog set-up now for a monthly fee of under $3), set up a blog as you've done on a site like Typepad.com (about $4.95 for a basic account), or go through one of the ad revenue-split sites like writingup.com where the signup is free, but they split ad profits with you 50/50.

It seems like the latter two options might generate more traffic, as they are in a community-type setting where on a personal website, I would be on my own drawing traffic and marketing. I'm also wondering if the 50/50 split should even be considered at all. Being that you have gained some extensive knowledge on this subject, I would love to hear your opinion, based on your expertise. Thanks for all the helpful information you have provided!

LOL got SPAM?

In any case in TCF they are posting a survey link where anyone can take the survey.

I recommend everyone take the survey if only to tell Cox what your opinion is.
