MythTV Invades Realm of Cable and TiVo

The Washington Post has a nice little story about the creation of MythTV: MythTV Invades Realm of Cable and TiVo.

In 2002, amidst a bulky, advertising-laden digital television experience, programmer Isaac Richards took matters into his own hands -- he began to build his own digital video recorder system from scratch.

They also mention pre-built MythTV boxes from MagicITX and iDOTpc.
