New ajaxified TiVo Central Online

The new ajax-enhanced TiVo Central Online is online, and even cooler, anyone can check it out by clicking the Browse TV Listings button on the right to check out listings and how the show information panels slide in without needing a TiVo login.

holy krikey these new listings are slow as dirt! Definitely still some kinks to work out - the top image showing the times doesn't match up to the shows it's displaying below.

Keep in mind this is just a demo and test server and not a final version.

Its not AJAX either, its just a bunch of Javascript, and css divs being hidden, i dont see any request being made to servers. instead it just loads EVERYTHING into the page first and hides it, so the page loads crazy slow... blegh.

One Tivo3 please :)

I thought that too at first but if it pulls from the servers as you change times (not channels). So it really is AJAX... Just not well implemented AJAX... =)

i also read that show recorded on the new series 3 can't be tranferred to series 2 models!! also what about a non-hd dual tuner tivo seems there is no mention of it, definatly a big void! either way i'm getting one. maybe have to buy 2 more hd tvs
