My DVR is working fine, except for one channel. There is a volume problem with my channel 46. When I initially change to that change, it tries to play with normal volume, but it immediately goes very low, almost to the point of not being heard at maximum volume. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to change the "pre-set" local Comcast channel we receive when turning on our converters? We have the new DRV and the older digital boxes. No matter where you were in the channel selection before shutting them off, they always powers up to the local Comcast channel (CN8). Only way I know to prevent it is leave the box "on" all the time. Is there a way to program a favorite startup channel??

I have two listings in the recorded programs list that indicate channel 0; 0 min in length. I cannot play or delete either. Is there a way to remove them?

I would like to lock the TV/VCR button on my Comcast DVR remote to the TV button so that I can use the button exclusively to change the screen from TV to the Video and DVD selections. I do not use the button for any other input. Does anyone know the TV/VCR keycode used to LOCK the button to the TV function?
I mostly leave the remote in the Cable mode, but for switching screens, I need to use the TV mode, and if I could avoid this, it would be easier.
Thanks

Does anyone know how to reprogram the ON DEMAND button on this remote. I switched to Verizon FiOS TV and their ON DEMAND is on channel 900 instead of channel 1. My FiOS service came with the exact same Motorola box with the exception of this and their remote is not nearly as user friendly as the Comcast remote.
Thanks for your help.

Only channels 120 and up work. For the channels that don't work(2-119), a blue message flashes on the screen saying "ONE MOMENT PLEASE This channel should be available shortly." But this message has remained for three days. Please help me. I've already had to replace the machine twice and have had the cable guy in three times.

I noticed your issue was posted in January, did you get a resolution? I've got the same issue "ONE MOMENT PLEASE This channel should be available shortly." I've had 8 service calls, 7 techs, approx 3 or 4 combined hours on the phone with Comcast, and now a Tech Supervisor for some one to come out yet again. No one at Comcast seem to know what the problem is. They tried swapping the box a total of 5 times. Then it was explained as a head end issue and they kept switch my Head End, from 47, to 56, to 16 etc.. They said because the box is digital and the <100 channels can be considered Analog, the head end needed to be switch to 56. And then it seems to work for a maybe a day. (this last time it was only a couple of hours) Then the ONE MOMENT PLEASE This channel should be available shortly. comes back and when I call, somehow the Head End is back at 47. It like there is something switching. They don't know for certain if this is the issue but the supervisor tech is suppose to servey the area or something. If you got a resolution, could you share? I've had this issue since install, 2/4/06. Or is the solution just to get a dish?

We have a Comcast Digital Motorola cable box and Tivo. Last night while watching "On Demand," the Tivo kept interrupting the broadcasting, with its "I can't find a station" blue screen. How can we get this to stop?

When I turn DVR off and come back to it later there is no picture/sound displayed for live programs. I can get picture/sound back only by going to a recorded program and starting it. Once it has started then the DVR operates normally until turned off again. If I leave the DVR on and only turn off the TV then the problem is not there. Anyone else have a similar problem and is there a permanent fix?

I can't even ask a question correctly. I'm a complete novice at this type of thing. I have a motorola digital cable box and upon trying to reset it by pressing the power, guide or select bottons and plugging it in it went totally blank regeistering only a zero. It won't chage channels or work at all now. Can anyone please tell me what I have done or need to do to get this to work?

for those individuals having issues with their box displaying "one moment please", this relates to a signal issue. It simply means that the box is not receiving a sufficient amount of signal to make it do what it does. It like being hungry and only being give 1 spoonful of food. The box needs more than what's coming in to function. If another tech comes by, have him check the signal on the line where the tv/box is.

Im having a problem with the mute on my dvr. If I have a program scheduled to be recorded and turn on my tv after the recording has started there is no sound. It shows mute in white(dvr mute) on the top of the screen. I cannot un mute the dvr with my controller. When I do, it shows a red mute(tv mute) sign in the middle of my tv. Obviously not the same mute button??? I have tried going into menu then setup, but there is no option to stop the mute. The only way to get my sound back is to stop the recording and restart my tv. Or hope I remember to turn the tv on before the recording starts. What a pain!!! Can anyone help me? By the way I have a comcast dvr. :(

Okay, i have my DVR connected and it works fine, but when i try to use anything through the input jacks in the back all that goes through is the audio...the video doesnt work. If i'm just not pressing a button i need to thats all well and good, but if anyone knows what i'm doing wrong i'd be very appreciative of a solution.

I have 2 Motorola DVR's from comcast. They both have problems but one gets all the premium channels and has a loud hardrive and the other one locks up from time to time and I have to unplug it to get it to unlock. I dont want to return the one with the loud hardrive because it gets all the premium channels. What I want to do is switch the hardrives around and return the box that only gets the regular channels. If I switch the hardrives am I going to loose the premium channels?

Is there anyway I could delete multiples file at one time ??
Posted by: John at Mar 3, 2007 4:42:20 PM
I am using a panasonic LCD Projector and an Atlas Rogers DVR/PVR 5 Device (motorola) and can't remove the close captions from the screen.
I did get info on activating the mute button and I was pleased to see that this information worked....hoping that I will find success on my question.
What is odd about my problem is that it has just occured. Everthing had been fine since I set my room up back in November 2006.
Any advice woud be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
