TiVo trying to get eyballs in front of TiVos
One of the ways a lot of TiVos get sold is from people seeing them in someone else's house. TiVo's marketing department finally found a way to encourage this, in the latest newsletter they included a link to create a TiVo-themed Evite for an Oscar party. It's nice to see TiVo focusing on publicity that works, instead of freaky drawings in the New Yorker.

Unfortunately it is Evite - a festering spam hell.

How long will it take for TiVo to get a content deal and be the exclusive distributor for certain programming? You'd think they'd start doing this sort of thing and hit niche market advertising to get subs up.

Maybe they are waiting for a program with a cult following... Sorpranos would be quite nice.

Maybe they are awaiting more upgrades. Todd Lokken
