Linksys' Wireless-B Media Adapter adapter seems to do everything TiVo's Home Media Option does.
It's not too expensive (Amazon is selling it for $169), though the amazon reviews point out the installation is a bit flakey and it doesn't say anything about video streaming support. [via jrobb]

Windows only. XP, in fact. No sale.

I didn't notice that. Requiring XP plus not having video streamable definitely puts this in the "no sale" pile.

Bought this a while ago. Like the standard features, but now missing what's not there... Streaming video for one. More importantly, being able to control what to play through a piece of SW sitting on the PC (TV interface with remote way too cumbersome). Anyone know of a hack or additional SW adding features to this fairly limited piece of media player??
Thanks!!

I bought it.
I like it.
I'm using it.
It does exactly what it advertises.
