The parts list

Here's a sampling of what is going into the project tivo:
Maxtor 120Gb hard drive
Weaknees TwinBreeze Complete upgrade kit with a PowerTrip
Linksys WUSB11 Wireless-B USB Network Adapter
Window kit + EL cable

This will yeild a 160hr TiVo for about the suggested retail cost of a 80Gb TiVo. It will be quieter than a standard TiVo, use less power, and look better in the process.

Is there a casemod planned? Some blue lights and a fin on the back, not unlike a certain truck that a certain someone used to own?

I know, I know. It always starts small then one day you own some embarrasing thing, but I figured if the fans and wiring are upgraded and the big hard drive tray looks cool, why not slash a hole in the top so you can see it? Then I noticed the lit up demo mod on that site and figured hey, why not?

I'm sorta doing this just as an experiment, and to learn how hard it is to do these sorts of things.
